In April 2005 the bonds of a family were stretched and twisted and frayed by time and distance - but these bonds were too strong to break.
Now, over five years later, not much has changed within the extended family unit that had materialized in the Pittsburgh area over the past many years. Liberty Avenue is still a bustling, blooming gayborhood within the metropolis, Debbie Novotny is still playing Mother Hen from her nest in the diner, her son is still happily "married" to a intelligent Carnegie prof, and their adopted son is taking on the world, one college course at a time. And the antihero of all antiheroes? He's still around, tragically as successful and good-looking as ever, working to hold all the frays of the past few years together, if quietly. With a new presidential administration comes hope for the ever-proud LGBT community, but the recent passing of Proposition 8 in California might prove to be disastrous for the progressive movement, even on the opposite coast. Political tensions are high, lives are continuing even in the midst of the nostalgia for the beginning of the new millennium, and this family is still struggling to include all of each other within their busy schedules. This Mess We're in is a post-513 roleplaying community based on the hit Showtime series Queer As Folk, and looking for fans of the cancelled show to continue the legacy of the well-developed characters we've been missing for four lost seasons. |

The Beyonder a being known to have god like power; a being that ushered what certain hero’s of Earth would call secret wars. But the Beyonder has been caught off guard in his period of rest. A dark rift opened a door way to the Nether realm where a dark Fallen Elder god used to enter the Beyonder’s presence. The dork lord with the use of magic merged with the Beyonder distorting the god like power to his own gains.
Lord Shinnok is weakened due to his restful state. He turned his dark and evil eye to earth and other places. With the merger of the two gods Shinnok can begin his new found quest to open the gates of Chaos and usher a age of darkness for all in creation. Those with black heart form all time and space have already sworn allegiance to him.
Because of this disturbance of the Beyonders realm it leads to time rifts dimensional rifts bringing people from alternate universes where alchemy is a accepted science and the mystic arts are just as potent. Where time rifts open where earth is part of a federation of planets.
Doors to realms like outworld are opened and people slipping through. In and out. What will be done? who notices? What are people doing. What are the rifts having on the earth natural cycle……you decide!

The Wizarding World has seen its fair share of suffering, such as the reign of Lord Voldemort that occurred not once, but twice. But, as it was foreseen, good triumphed over evil and the world gained peace. It seemed to be everlasting for witches and wizards everywhere, a great relief to those who feared the worst in the midst of rebuilding. Twenty-five years later, someone now threatens to destroy the peace that has come to be, though not in such a way that would strike fear in the general public. It's much worse: Hogwarts has a new Headmaster and the students aren't going to like him.
Tiberius Ogden was just appointed the position of Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry during the summer, the former Headmaster, Matthew Harrison, having abruptly retired when he suddenly came upon a very large sum of money. The Ogden name is famous for its liquor, though Tiberius has no interest in making drunks out of his peers. No, Tiberius Ogden followed another path, one of strict behavior that came with wielding a firm hand rather than a tap. A retired Hit Wizard, Tiberius has known a life of hardship and determination and believes that today's youth are becoming weak-minded prats. As a way to change this, he quickly took up the position Headmaster Harrison wished to discard.
Students will be in for quite the shock when they return to school to have their yearly start of term feast. Not only are they receiving a new Headmaster, but he comes with a whole new set of rules - rules so numerous in count that a book of them was created - something each student will find at their seat.

Located in an underground base called the Hub and under the command of Captain Jack Harkness, Torchwood Three has the task of monitoring the time rift and phenomena associated with it, as well as securing for Torchwood any artifacts that might come through. The Kingdom of Frell is at peace.
Though the so-called Golden Age of King Char and Queen Ella is long over- so long ago now that few are still alive who can remember it- life continues on much as it ever did. Merchants travel the lands far and wide, finding new and exotic goods to bring back to Greenville, the town just outside the royal palace. Greenville's markets are thriving, and most of the town's inhabitants pay little mind to the castle looming in the distance.
That is, of course, until The Gray Death appears. There is no known cure. Sufferers initially feel very weak, and are soon not even able to get out of bed. Overcome by fever, their complexions turn gray and they die. Still, Greenville believes it is safe- there are just rumors of the illness, and being so close to the castle, they're safe, right?
Wrong.
The illness knows no boundaries, a fact that is brought starkly to light when the King of Frell contracts the disease and dies a short time later. The King leaves behind a land in limbo- his wife, the Queen, is trying her level best to keep power from the hands of their immature son. Heroes search for a cure, trying to avenge their fallen King. Life in Greenville continues on, if a bit more cautiously. Life in the court, however, is marked by ambition and intrigue. Courtiers' motives are far from pure, and ambitions are on the rise. No one is sure who will emerge victorious.
Happily ever after was never a guarantee.
Fair is an original character role playing game inspired by Ella Enchanted, Fairest, and The Two Princesses of Bamarre by Gail Carson Levine. The game takes place in the world created by those books, but no canon knowledge is required or expected. All fantasy characters welcomed!

Seems, madam! Nay, it is; I know not ‘seems’.
The Other Side is an Alternative Universe Harry Potter game. In 2001, with Second War alumni returning for a sudden reunion, they quickly find themselves sucked into another world altogether. Given housing of their own for the time being, they come to realize that they're not the only ones stuck in such an intensely abrupt situation. With them, huddled all under one Inn's roof, are various alumni from the First War.
This new world is an alternative take on how the war could have gone. With Bellatrix leading the head of a vicious group of assassins called the Moraie, she stands tall as conqueror of Britain with her husband Rodolphus and their adopted son, Neville. It seems as if she had a different take on how to deal with the "Chosen One" the Prophecy spoke of. Surely raising him would be enough to cancel it out? So she hopes. And, where is Albus Dumbledore in all of this, you might ask? Disappearing shortly after the crumbling of the Order and Bellatrix's rise to power in 1981, he has been neither seen nor heard from in twenty years. Aberforth was kind enough to take over the position of headmaster of Hogwarts after his brother's disappearance and is hoping that with the arrival of all of these new visitors that perhaps reinstating the Order to what it once was will bring Albus back for good.

Nearside is a city on the verge of mainstream development, located in Central Pennsylvania next to the Carlton Mountain. Built by a collective community of artists, Nearside is a unique city of locally owned businesses, farmer's markets, and a thriving force of creativity. Solaris Rd. is the most popular section of the city, offering everything from a popular coffee house (a place for local bands, speed dating, karaoke nights, and much more) to a costume shop and a yoga studio to a daycare for Nearside's youngest residents, the city has countless amenities.
Several years ago a university was built and with it, there has been a rapid growth of corporate business and mainstream entertainment but the residents still focus on keeping Nearside's close-knit, small town charm.

You wake up one morning with a headache, you wonder if you're hung-over but you didn't drink anything last night so that can't be it and after taking a painkiller and heading to work you forget all about it. A few days later you think you back to your childhood and there's a memory that doesn't fit, it doesn't make sense and you try not to think about it because it sets you on edge and makes you feel uncomfortable.
It doesn't stop.
Maybe weeks go by, or maybe it's months, and someone turns up on your doorstep. Maybe they look official, or maybe they're wearing jeans and a T-Shirt, but they introduce themselves and tell you that they're from something called 'The Agency', they sit you down and if you're lucky they'll make you a cup of tea or pour you a drink before explaining it all to you.
The memories are real, but they're someone else's, someone you always thought of as fictional. You're what they call a reincarnate, someone who's been reincarnated from this fictional person, brought into this world with magic that no one yet understands.
They talk about a war that's being fought between two sides of reincarnates, the good and the bad. You're not told what side to pick or that you need to, but you know that a day will come when you and the person you used to be and are possibly becoming will need to choose.

The nation was stunned when it was revealed that Graydon Creed killed Professor Charles Xavier on live television to prove he was a mutant. Public outcry against the acts perpetrated by the organization known as the 'Friends of Humanity' allowed several laws to be passed in favor of mutant rights. That was more than a decade ago, in that time the realm of politics has come to an impasse. Amidst the political stalemate there was a heavy push by many parents to have mutant children removed from the school systems, that ended with special schools being set up in most major cities. The Xavier School could no longer provide the necessary post secondary education for mutants. Ororo Munroe, the new head of the School, and Hank McCoy went before the Senate and House and asked that a second school be funded on the West Coast a University for continuing mutant education. Senator Raymond F. Donaldson, a democrat from California and the first mutant on the senate, helped to push the funding through. Thus the Xavier Memorial Institute was born.
XMI is a College Level AU X-Men game set in modern day California. It is meant to be a place where OCs may flourish, new stories can be written and those who have moved to the west coast may begin again. The school grounds, commonly referred to as Mutant Island, house both a university as well as a training facility. It is also the facility which houses the mutant team Legacy. The game is open to mutants age 18+, canon and original characters are both welcome. The game hopes to combine the social and political aspects of life as a mutant with the dangers that come from living in a world where humans, mutants, and things only classified as 'other' coexist.

| Welcome to your new home. Set in crime-ridden Dark City Treno, dominated by alcohol, drugs and weapons, this place is constantly immersed in a perpetual state of darkness. Heavy black clouds loom overhead, sometimes bringing rain but never breaking to let in the sun. The city has evolved to match its environment; business is shady, outlooks are bleak, and it is unclear whether there is still light behind the clouds at all. Even the brightest linings offer little hope. In the corner flower shop, full of carnations and spools of cheap ribbon, black market narcotics and hallucinogens change hands. The local pub, complete with Guinness on tap, reserves the back three tables for weapons dealers to do business. Criminals of all types seem drawn to the city, attracted to the dark environment the city offers.
Despite this, there is a murmur of hope amid the murky despair. A rebellion is forming, individuals determined to fight against the masses and bring good and order back into the city. However, the weather has not broken. With the dreary forecast constantly imposing upon the innocent civilians, the fight is predicted to be endless and futile.

Four times a year, on each continent, a portal opens between our universe and that of Caligland, a unique occasion for magic and science to mix, causing explosive results. While some seek to enter the Kingdom with a deliberate purpose or a task to accomplish, others seem to end up here by pure accident.
With inspiration borrowed from ancient lore and mythology, a royal court based on the 16th century Tudor court, a vampire hierarchy and clans originating in the Vampire: the Masquerade roleplaying universe, a vast variety of supernatural fandoms to choose from and a well-elaborated plot, this game has something to offer to everyone! The year is 1978. The war against the Death Eaters has been boiling under the surface for almost a decade now. It was little things at first, easy to ignore, escalating to bigger attacks, bigger crimes, and of course, retaliation. Now the country is about ready to tear itself apart as the Ministry steps up their attempts to defeat Voldemort and no one is really sure who they should trust, if they should trust anyone at all. Who can you turn to when your own government is as likely to kill you as the masked criminals roaming the streets?
Even the muggles are starting to notice. Attacks in muggle places are becoming more frequent, the Death Eaters getting more bold. And everyone is asking the same question.
How long before it's open war?

About the Game
Is that darkness, or is that hope? |

The year is 1976, and the marauders have entered their sixth year. There has been talk in pureblood families of a 'Dark Lord', a man who's sole interest is purifying the wizarding world of muggles and muggleborns. He has enlisted the help of Hogwarts students, staff, and men living in Hogsmeade. With these minions, Lord Voldemort has already attacked many muggleborns, blood traitors, and Hogwarts. With the increasing attacks on Hogwarts, Headmaster Dumbledore has been given few options. After a muggleborn's death, the Headmaster has decided to lock the school. The Ministry of Magic has sent Hogwarts four aurors to help protect students and screen mail. No one gets in, and no one gets out. For now, Hogwarts has been at a lull - but how long will it last? Many students believe the attacks are coming from within Hogwarts, and fear the worst.
What are the students to do? Headmaster Dumbledore has come up with the only possibly solution - he needs help. He needs a group of trusted people to fight back, and so begins the Order of the Phoenix. Slowly but surely these young witches and wizards will be trained to fight and protect themselves.

Demons are attacking in Wizarding Britain. The Dark Mark soars high in both Salem and San Francisco. Despite this, both Hogwarts and Salem Institute are open again and offering exchange programs to older students. But when the peace of both sides is threatened, Potters and Halliwells will have to unite wizards and witches everywhere under a common cause. Is the fight against true evil enough to close the magical gap that has existed for hundreds of years? |

 And Harry realized, with a shock so huge it seemed to root him to the spot, that Malfoy was crying - actually crying - tears streaming down his pale face into the grimy basin. Malfoy gasped, and Harry was confused as Malfoy looked down into his own empty hand as if he'd never seen it before then gulped and, with a great shudder, looked up into the cracked mirror and saw Harry staring at him over his shoulder. |
Wished RP is an AU game that diverges from canon midway through Half-Blood Prince and aims to honor canon while allowing players to craft their own end to the story we all spent years following.
Wished is a thread and scene based, Trio-Era game that begins with the Trio's seventh year. Voldemort is still lurking, if weakened, and a final showdown still threatens - but how we get there, and what happens afterward, will look very different.

Currently seeking: Ministry Members, Death Eaters & Sympathizers, Younger 'No Name' Hogwarts Students. Males in general and especially Ravenclaw males! Preference will be given to Muggleborn students, because we need to even some things out. Specific characters being looked for are: Amycus Carrow, Anthony Goldstein, Percy Weasley, Fenrir Greyback, Stephen Cornfoot, Kevin Entwhistle, Lee Jordan, and Parvati Patil.
There are many students being looked for specifically, so please have a look at our Available Characters list and see if there's anyone you would like to consider. We have many name only students, and we do love helping people integrate characters, so if you have a character idea that you want to try out, or a character from a past game that you would like to try again, we have an active cast of both 7th years and 6th years, and they are all looking for their missing classmates.
